  5. The Student Billing module is a comprehensive processor for an institution's
  6. accounts receivable and student billing data.  Changes in a student's
  7. registration instantly update the billing module.  As Financial Aid awards are
  8. made and accepted, the student's bill is updated accordingly.  Student Billing
  9. data is edited according to the institution's specifications.  User can enter
  10. and track additional text associated with a student's bill using the system's
  11. free text facility.  The software supports registration generated transactions
  12. (tuition, course fees), on-line batch entry and updating of transactions,
  13. enrollment generated transactions (user-defined fees), bill processing
  14. transactions (payments, adjustments) and their posting to the general ledger.
